Courageous Souls
An Update by Marty Stan:
I just returned from the regions of Donetsk and Kherson in eastern and southern Ukraine. The purpose of going to a war zone with Mercy Projects and Freeway Kiev at this time was to bring support, encouragement and vital supplies to those closest to the conflict and most affected by loss and deprivation. Also, we previously raised funds for heating, wood stoves and firewood for those who are living through the harsh winter without necessary heat because of power and gas cuts and infrastructure destruction. As a small group with these three organizations, we delivered portable wood-burning stoves, logs for fires, seeds, vegetables, laying hens, food boxes, tourniquets, first aid kits, socks, toiletries and Advil. I met Pastors that persist in living and ministering in these decimated regions; risking their own lives and their families lives in being faithful in their calling no matter the cost. Too many Ukrainians are suffering but continue to be the most most courageous souls that anyone could meet. God Bless Ukraine!
