it all started with two people who had the same vision…
In 1999 Global Impact World Relief was established by Martin and Launa Stan. They had initially met each other the year before-doing ministry in Ukraine and Russia in youth prisons, orphanages and with vulnerable families. They married and started this nonprofit 501(c)3 to partner with other organizations who have a track record of integrity and financial accountability.
The focus of Global Impact is vulnerable adults and children around the world. As adoptive parents of children with special needs, their heart is to make sure no one is excluded, despite their level of ability. This is a grass roots NGO and 100% of donations go to proposed projects, after expenses. The Stans donate their time and finances and have no employees and small overhead.
Launa is an internationally collected artist, who created a form of art called, Poetry Art. This involves painting with the words of her poetry to create images that are sold to benefit humanitarian ministries and missions around the globe.
